An experience unlike any other
Road No.10 is the military road along the Israeli/Egyptian border from the Gaza Strip to Eilat.
Occasionally the road is mad open partially or entirely for public access. You need to call the military beforehand and ask when.
If the road is open entirely, you have a road through the desert like no other, along the border, close to the fences, from Nizzana to Shikma Junction ~190km, no stops, except military posts, no junctions, no civilization.
The road is sometimes twisty, but long parts are straight. Up and down desert hills, the road is sometimes paved, sometimes not, potholes are the signs of history of the road.
Be well prepared for the distance and the heat in summer. Always carry water with you.
